"Friend of Lukashenko" demands that the U.S. cancel the reward for his capture and guarantees safe exit from the country.
Venezuela's dictator Nicolas Maduro is ready to leave office if a number of conditions are met by the United States, including granting amnesty to him and his closest associates. This is reported by The Atlantic, citing a source involved in the negotiations between the parties.
According to the publication, Maduro demands from Washington to cancel the reward for his capture and guarantees of safe exit from the country. The consideration of this option comes amid a massive U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean, which the publication calls the largest since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.
On November 5, Bloomberg wrote that the United States could launch a military campaign against Venezuela "starting around November 15," when the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford crosses the Atlantic.
