A Russian Spy Was Detained In Kiev Near The CHPP

The agent asked to be put on the exchange list and sent to RF.

A man was detained in Kiev who passed data on the location of military units and a thermal power plant to Russian intelligence.

This was reported by site of Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

It is reported that during September-November, a 21-year-old resident of Khmelnitsky region in the messenger Telegram met an employee of Russian military intelligence. For money, the guy agreed to collect and transmit to the Russian information about the location of military facilities and thermal power plants in Kiev.

The spy was detained directly near the thermal power plant, which he filmed on the order of the Russians. After the detention, the young man asked to be included in the list for exchange and sent to the Russian Federation.

The man was reported on suspicion of high treason under martial law. He was taken into custody.

The detainee faces 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
