Details of the 20th sanctions package have become known.
The new, already 20th package of sanctions of the European Union may be directed at Russia's nuclear, steel, oil and fertilizer industries. Russia's "shadow fleet" will also be under attack again.
According to EU Observer.
It is noted that there is already a draft statement from EU countries at the summit, where members of the bloc are called for "further coordinated action" against so-called "flag states". These are states that actually give any ships the opportunity to sail under their flag, which Russia actively used.
Because of this, a large number of unseaworthy old oil tankers worked in the interests of Russia. Now the EU plans to take action against these countries to force them to revoke their flag permits.
Other targets of the new EU sanctions are Russia's steel, fertilizer and nuclear industries. These categories have fallen partially or completely out of the EU's focus in terms of imposing restrictions.
The EU ambassadors also agreed on changes to the 19th package of sanctions, which is already in place. The documents, which have come into the possession of the publication, refer to the blacklisting of 23 individuals and legal entities - including a US citizen - as well as 42 oil tankers that help the Russian regime's military efforts.
