NATO Secretary General: I Gave Up Trying To Understand Putin A Long Time Ago

Mark Rutte is only focused on facts.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he no longer tries to guess what Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is thinking and instead focuses solely on the facts.

According to The Guardian.

Rutte said he had numerous conversations with Putin while still prime minister of the Netherlands - after the occupation of Crimea and the shooting down of plane MH17.

"I have long since stopped guessing what is in his head, but look at the facts," he said. Rutte added that Putin, whom he called a dictator, was "willing to sacrifice 1.1 million of his own people" for a "crazy historical idea."

"The fact that you have a dictator willing to sacrifice 1.1 million of his own people.... if you have a dictator willing to do that because he has a crazy idea about some historical goal .... then you have to be very careful and we have to be ready," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.
