We need to keep up the pressure on the RF.
The North Atlantic Alliance needs to "test" Russian President Vladimir Putin on his desire to end the war in Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said this, reports The Guardian.
"Let's test Putin. Let's see if he really wants peace or prefers the slaughter to continue," he said.
Rutte said Russia's dictator is "engaged in empire building."
The alliance secretary-general said it was important for the West that "we all keep up the pressure on Russia and support genuine efforts to end this war."
On Dec. 11, Rutte also called on the bloc's member states to shift to a military mindset, saying the alliance is Russia's "next target".
He said NATO is already under attack. Rutte noted that when he became the alliance's secretary-general, he warned that what was happening in Ukraine could happen to the bloc's members as well.
