The dictator needs more and more days to rest.
In late October, "Zerkalo" noted that on Wednesdays, which Alexander Lukashenko usually tried to make his days off in addition to Saturday and Sunday, the dictator allegedly began to receive officials with reports. At the same time, there was no Lukashenko in the photos published by the press service following these meetings. On December 11, the dictator's press secretary Natalya Eismont told the state TV channel "First Informational" where her boss "disappears" on Wednesdays.
Publicly commenting on the anomaly in Lukashenko's schedule, his press secretary decided to "dot all the dots over i".
-Nothing extraordinary, nothing unusual and nothing unusual! This is work that has been going on continuously for quite a long time. Some reports we cover in the media, some [reports] we give purely thematic, but this is also a very important process for the whole country to hear and understand what is being reported... <...> This is the most important thing. This is the purpose of such work," said Eismont.
The press-secretary added that there are also reports of Lukashenko, which are not "widely" reported in the state media.
- We have many more such reports than those that we cover in the media," said Eismont.
Why Lukashenko's press service does not publish photos and videos of the usurper from such "Wednesday reports," the press secretary did not explain.
By the way, it's hard to say what Lukashenko was doing on Wednesday this week. There is only one publication on his website for December 10 - a congratulatory message to the staff of the Belarusian National Technical University. In the Telegram channel of his press service there were no posts on that day.
In a comment for the state channel "First Informational" Eismont said that last Wednesday Lukashenko discussed "important issues" with "some specialized ministers" and also "delved into the preparation of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly."
The fact that Alexander Lukashenko tries to rest in the middle of the week was noticed by journalists four years ago. Then they studied his schedule and came to the conclusion that Wednesday is the freest day of Lukashenko's working week. And on weekends, with rare exceptions, he also rests.
Last spring, the journalists returned to the subject, and it turned out that Lukashenko had not changed his habit - he did not appear publicly anywhere on this day as standard. His press service, as a rule, reported that the usurper was "working with documents."
That was the case until recently. For example, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Lukashenko's website reported that he had congratulated "the people of Moldova" on Independence Day. On September 10, his press service reported that the usurper sent birthday greetings to Larisa Dolina and signed several decrees. On Wednesday, September 24, there was no activity at all, and on October 1, again only paperwork - congratulations and signing of documents.
Now on Wednesdays, Belarusians are informed that Lukashenko receives officials with reports. Afterwards, they tell the details to the propagandists of the state media. However, people are not shown footage from those meetings, where Lukashenko would have been captured.
The only exception to this rule is Wednesdays, when Alexander Lukashenko has business trips.
