Russian State Radio Aired A Truth Inconvenient For The Kremlin

Did the propagandists rebel?

The Russian Federation has begun to actively and publicly discuss the fact that the Kremlin, through its war against Ukraine, has driven the country into deep dependence on its eastern neighbor, China.

In the studio of Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, which is considered one of the key media venues for Kremlin propaganda, a rare candor about the real state of the Russian economy was voiced, writes "Dialog.UA".

Eastologist and Z-politologist Nikolay Sevostyanov stated on live TV that Russia has turned out to be China's junior and vulnerable partner, completely dependent on its interests. Beijing is consistently expanding its economic presence in Russia.

The expert noted that Chinese companies are actively displacing other players, primarily in the automotive industry, in the microelectronics market and in the consumer goods segment. Sevostyanov emphasized that China acts strictly pragmatically and promotes only what is beneficial to itself. Instead of transferring knowledge and launching joint technological projects, Russia receives the final product without affecting its production.

"China is trying to conduct (in Russia - ed.) maximum economic expansion, seize the market where it can seize it. First of all, this concerns the automobile industry, the sale of microelectronics and so on. China does what is in its interests... On the one hand, our trade balance with China is positive, we sell more to China than we receive. Another thing is that we sell resources there: oil, gas, timber... In return, we get cars that have flooded the Russian market, Chinese smartphones, household appliances, which are not very durable and do not contribute to the country's development," the Z-expert said.

Sevostyanov directly stated that China deliberately avoids supplying technology to Russia and is not interested in its technological growth. He explained this for several reasons at once. On the one hand, Chinese corporations are afraid of falling under Western sanctions, as they are active in the markets of Europe and the United States.

On the other hand, China itself as a state does not want to strengthen Russia and turn it into a potential competitor. Beijing is quite happy with a weak and dependent partner from whom it can buy its resources at big discounts.

This admission, made on a radio station loyal to the Kremlin, clearly shows the consequences of Moscow's isolationist policy and its conflict with the civilized world. Russia is sinking deeper and deeper into dependence on China, losing its economic independence and future.
