The Head Of MI6 Has Warned Putin

The UK will continue to support Ukraine.

The new head of Britain's MI6 intelligence agency, Blaise Metrevely, has sharply criticized Russia's "aggressive and expansionist" policies, making it clear to dictator Vladimir Putin that London will not abandon its support for Ukraine.

As The Telegraph reports, in her first speech from MI6 headquarters, Metrevely emphasized Britain's continued commitment to Kiev. "Putin should have no doubt: our support remains firm. The pressure we are exerting on behalf of Ukraine will continue," she said.

The head of MI6 said that "exporting chaos is not a mistake but a feature of the Russian approach to international relations" and the West should be prepared for this policy to continue until Putin is forced to reassess his calculations.

The Telegraph notes that Metreveli's statement came amid efforts by the administration of US President Donald Trump to push for a "peace deal" and increase pressure on Ukraine to make significant territorial concessions.
