A ninth-grade student came to a school in St. Petersburg with a knife and wounded a 29-year-old teacher. According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the cause of the incident was a bad grade for a math test.
An attack occurred at school #191 in St. Petersburg this morning: a 15-year-old ninth-grade student attacked his math teacher with a knife, after which he wounded himself.
The victim is 29-year-old math teacher Maria Andreeva.
According to "Base", the attack occurred at seven in the morning, when the schoolboy came to the teacher to rewrite a test paper. As soon as the teacher turned away, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the back. The condition of the victim and the teenager himself, who then injured himself and was hospitalized, is not specified.
The mother of the attacker, writes "Baza", also works as a history teacher at the same school. She enrolled her son in Andreeva's elective class to correct his bad grades before exams.
Witnesses say the schoolboy managed to sneak the knife in because security guards do not inspect students, even if metal detectors are triggered.
