Zelensky Summarized The Results Of Negotiations With The U.S.

Positions on territories are different.

Ukraine and the US are holding talks in Berlin on ending the war with Russia. So far, the sides have not reached an agreement on the issue of territories.

Ukrainian President Vladymyr Zelensky said this at a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

He recalled that meetings with US officials had been going on for the second day. In particular, yesterday, December 14, the talks lasted more than five hours. At the same time, today, December 15, several rounds of talks have already taken place. The dialog continues, there was a substantive conversation in the afternoon.

The President of Ukraine added that the representatives of Ukraine will still continue negotiations with their American counterparts. The Ukrainian delegation is working almost around the clock to reach a result.

Zelensky said that not all issues were simple. One of the complicated topics is territories. During such meetings all issues are raised.

"There was enough dialog on territories. It seems to me that we have different positions so far, frankly speaking. But I think that my colleagues heard my personal position. I am very glad that I could personally convey this position," he said.

The President also pointed out that Ukraine and the United States are ready to work productively to find a solution that will bring the end of the war closer, with respect for Ukraine.

He announced new meetings to be held tonight.
