Putin Extends Ban On Supplying Russian Oil At Price Ceiling

Through June 30.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has extended until June 30, 2026 the ban on supplies of Russian oil and oil products under a price ceiling. The decree was published on the legal information portal.

The decree comes into force from the day of its signing, i.e. from December 15, 2025.

The Russian ruler first signed the decree "On the application of special economic measures in the fuel and energy sector in connection with the establishment by some foreign states of a ceiling price for Russian oil and oil products" three years ago, in December 2022.

According to the document, supplies of Russian oil and oil products to foreign legal entities and individuals are prohibited, provided that the contracts for these supplies directly or indirectly provide for the use of the mechanism of fixing the ceiling price. The ban applies at all stages of supply up to the final buyer.
