A videotape of a conversation with the RF handler was obtained.

The SBU together with police and employees of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine have collected new evidence of the connection of the suspect in the murder of Ukrainian MP Andriy Parubiy with the Russian Federation and the gun that was used to kill the MP.

This is reported by Telegram SBU.

According to the investigation, it was this person who fulfilled the order of Russian security services to liquidate the MP.

What is known about the gun

To commit the crime, the killer used a Makarov pistol, which law enforcers found during the investigation of a high-profile crime. This firearm with a silencer were in the cache, which the attacker arranged after the murder of Parubiy.

The results of expert examinations established that it was from this gun was made a fatal shot at the MP. Traces of the killer's DNA were also found on the weapon.

In addition, in the course of investigative and operational activities, a video was obtained in which the killer arranges a cache with a gun in a forest area and "reports" about it to his handler from the Russian Federation.

Preliminary information suggests that the found weapon was later planned to be used to commit other contract murders in Ukraine.

The investigation also found that the defendant justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and denied war crimes by the Russians, in particular during the temporary occupation of Bucha.

Parubiy's murder

We recall that on August 30 in the center of Lviv, on Efremov Street, Andriy Parubiy - former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity and one of the leaders of the Ukrainian parliament - was shot dead. He died on the spot from his wounds.

The suspect in the murder was 52-year-old Lviv resident Mikhail Scelnikov. He was detained on September 1 in Khmelnitsky region.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, Stselnikov was recruited by Russian special services more than a year ago. A correspondence with Russian handlers was found in his phone, where he passed on information about the location of strategic facilities.
