The Verkhovna Rada appealed to the heads of state, parliaments, governments of democratic countries of Europe and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to ban the participation of national teams and clubs of Belarus in international tournaments held under the auspices of UEFA.

The Rada proposed UEFA to decide on the suspension of Belarusian teams until the end of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the restoration of its territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders, including territorial waters.

The Verkhovna Rada also called on European states to limit the entry of Belarusian athletes and delegations until the end of the war.

The explanatory note notes that Russia's aggression against Ukraine is carried out with the direct political, military and logistical support of the Russian Federation.
