Zelensky Promises To Respond To Shahid Attacks Via Belarus

Russian troops are trying to bypass Ukrainian systems for intercepting Shahed-type kamikaze drones, using the territory of Belarus. For this reason, drone attacks on western regions of Ukraine have recently become more frequent.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this while talking to journalists, RBC-Ukraine.

"As for Russian Shaheds, first of all attacks on Kovel recently - we have been discussing this topic in detail at the Stavka," the head of state said.

Zelensky said that on that day he held a meeting of the Stavka of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief devoted to Russian drone attacks, as well as Ukraine's defense measures and responses.

The president stressed that the Russian side analyzes the location of Ukrainian interception boundaries, which demonstrate high efficiency, and tries to bypass them. "They are doing this, including using the territory of Belarus - both geographically and from the technical point of view. This is a serious issue. I have set appropriate tasks, and at the next Stavka we will already have answers," Zelensky said.
