Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky suggested that White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump provide Ukraine with security guarantees for 30-50 years, RBC Ukraine reported.

"I told him that we already have a war going on and it has been going on for almost 15 years. So we would really like the guarantees to be longer. And I told him that we would very much like to consider 30, 40, 50 years. That would be a historic decision by President Trump. The president said he would think about it," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in response to media questions.

Zelensky added that he discussed with Trump that Ukraine would receive strong guarantees.
