Drone Attack On Chechnya: FSB Officers Hospitalized

New details have emerged.

An overnight attack in Chechnya on December 2 injured employees of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). One of the strikes hit the agency's building in Chechnya.

Drones hit the Russian FSB building in the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district of Chechnya, causing at least two employees of the agency to be hospitalized. They were injured and are now under the care of medics, media Astra learned from sources in the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.

"As a result of a drone attack on the FSB building in the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district in Chechnya, two employees of the agency have been hospitalized," the report said.

It is not known what condition the injured FSB officers are in and whether there is information about other casualties from the shelling.

Before this, eyewitnesses reported to the media that a nighttime UAV attack on December 2 had damaged the FSB building in the area. Analysts checked the photo from the scene and confirmed that it indeed shows the building of the agency in the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district, located at 81 Nuradilov Street.

The building of the OMVD (Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) in the Gudermesky district in Chechnya was probably also hit by an attack on the night of December 2, the publication wrote. However, there is no confirmation yet.

On the night of December 2, local publicks reported explosions in the town of Gudermes, which is home to the Special Forces University established personally by Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov. The network also reported a strike on the location of the Akhmat regiment.

The Kavkazsky Uzel media outlet reported that the UAV threat was declared in Chechnya, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia and Stavropol Krai.
