The Ukrainian armed forces are killing the Russian economy.

Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve, military expert and flight instructor Roman Svitan named in his comments to the Charter97.org the main successes of the AFU in 2025:

- First, holding the front line. Ukrainian fighters did not allow an operational breakthrough. This was very important, as the Russians were preparing heavily. Their main task was to break through the third line of defense in Donetsk region. They didn't break through, we held them back, grinding down 400,000 Russians. This is a serious indicator.

Secondly, the main achievement is the beginning of the destruction of the Russian economy since the summer of this year. That is, for six months long-range weapons of destruction have been destroying the Russian economy. Further continuation of such strikes will lead to the collapse, to the self-dissolution of the Russian Federation, as it was with the Soviet Union. This is the main thing, if we are talking about strategic objectives. I emphasize that they have been accomplished quite successfully.

- In what state is Russia approaching next year?

- The state is about the same as last year, if we are talking from a military point of view. Approximately the same plans as for this year.

- All of Russia's strategic objectives have been postponed to next year due to their non-fulfillment. That is, neither Donetsk nor Zaporizhzhya region, not to mention Kherson region, has been captured. That is why they are practically multiplying the tasks of this year for the next year.

But with the economic one they are already starting to fail. It can be seen unambiguously. And these failures in the economy, subsidence in the price of oil, subsidence in the filling of the Russian treasury, are reflected in the front line, especially in the deployment of recruits.

That is, there is no financial cushion, no social package, which they provided during the rise and deployment. That is why this subsidence allows us to talk about such a synergetic accumulation of errors, which will eventually lead to the fulfillment of our statistical task, i.e. the collapse of Russia.

I think that next year Ukraine will hold the line of defense. We will continue to beat the Russian economy.

By the end of next year there should be a tipping point in the failure of the Russian economy, which in 2027 they will simply not be able to pull out.
