The dictator of the Russian Federation talked about Ancient Russia.

Novgorod was the first capital of ancient Russia, only later statehood flowed to Kiev, Russian ruler Vladimir Putin said during his official visit to India in an interview with India Today TV channel.

"This is what they said historically. We had Russian statehood formed from several centers. The first capital, according to history, was in Novgorod in the northwest, <...> and then moved to Kiev. "It was Ancient Rus, and since then Kiev has been called the 'Mother of Russian Cities,'" the ruler said when asked why he called Kiev the "Mother of Russian Cities" in one of his statements (quoted by TASS).

As Charter97.org reported Charter97.org, Putin recently gave Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner historical lectures about the Battle of Poltava.

Historical lectures are the dictator's favorite propaganda technique, because Putin has been running away into history for years when he loses track of contemporary events, has no arguments and wants to cloud reality.

Remember, in an interview with American Tucker Carlson, Putin spent 25 minutes delivering a "historical account" of Ukraine's history - from Rurik to the partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In Alaska, judging by media reports, Putin also brought "historical documents."
