Ukrainian Armed Forces Deny Russian Fake Information About Capture Of Toretsk

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their defensive operation.
The Russians have announced the capture of Toretsk, but fighting in the city continues. The Defense Forces continue to resist.

On the afternoon of February 7, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of Toretsk by three motorized rifle brigades and volunteers.
“The information about the occupation of Toretsk by the enemy is not true — urban fighting continues, and the Defense Forces continue to resist the enemy. Once again, news from the madhouse “flies” into our information space (statement of the Russian Defense Ministry),” DeepState noted.
According to their data, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their defensive operation in Toretsk. Fighting is currently ongoing in the Zabalka microdistrict, as well as on the northern and western outskirts. The city center is almost entirely under enemy control.
“Unfortunately, people are forced to consume enemy sources due to a lack of trust in their own official ones. The public has not yet been informed about the loss of Kurakhove and Velyka Novosyolka, which raises many questions for those who form official communications,” DeepState added.
In addition, as Nazar Voloshin, a representative of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces “Khortytsya”, told RBC-Ukraine, the fighting in Toretsk is currently taking place in the urban area.
He noted that as of 16:00, the enemy has attacked 8 times in the Toretsk direction. There are still four battles going on.
“The enemy is using all its forces and means to defeat us....both because it has superior numbers and throws “assault fodder” into attacks with its soldiers (even disposable ones, who are sent one way to assault — if it reaches a certain point, so that they can wait there and accumulate a certain number of personnel for the assault), and on the information front (uses the distribution of its enemy IPSO),” Voloshin explained.
At the same time, fighters of the “Khyzhak” brigade of the patrol police reported that they are holding the defense in Toretsk.
“Food and water are delivered to them by drones. The Russian soldiers are only a few meters away here. The task is to quickly pick up the cargo under the cover of a comrade. A basement, trench candles, and 24/7 vigilance — such are the everyday life of Ukrainian defenders,” the police noted.
