Eight Countries Imposed Sanctions Against The Belarusian Regime

They have joined the EU's restrictive measures.

Eight more countries have decided to support new European sanctions against Belarus and Russia, introduced last month. This was reported by the press service of the EU Council on August 11.

The following countries decided to join the 18th sanctions package, approved on July 18 and affecting, among others, the banking sector:

Ukraine,

Albania,

Bosnia and Herzegovina,

Iceland,

Lichtenstein,

Montenegro,

Northern Macedonia,

Norway.

An official EU Council statement explained that countries joining the sanctions should "ensure that their national policies are in line" with the EU Council decision on visa restrictions for individuals and economic restrictions in the banking, financial and economic spheres.
