The West-2025 Exercises Will Practice The Use Of Nuclear Weapons And "Oreshnik"

This was stated by Minister Hrenin.

Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin spoke about the program of future exercises "Zapad-2025".

He said that the military "will work out planning for the use of nuclear weapons and "Oreshnik".

- This is an important element of strategic deterrence for us. We see the situation on our western, northern borders and we can not quietly observe militarization and military activity. We demonstrate our openness and peacefulness, but we must always keep our powder dry," Khrenin was quoted as saying by the Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda TV channel.

Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2025 will be held on September 12-16. Note that many experts believe that the Kremlin may use the maneuvers for provocations against the Baltic states.
