Syzran residents publish vivid footage of a drone attack on the refinery.

Early in the morning of August 15, drones attacked Rosneft's oil refinery in Syzran.

Reports about the attack appeared in Ukrainian publishers around 05:00, at the same time the first images from the scene began to be published.

According to the "Ukraine 365" channel, local residents said they witnessed at least three drone strikes on the plant's territory.

The videos published on the web show that the fires broke out in several locations at once.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the situation.

The Syzran refinery, commissioned in 1942, is part of Rosneft. In 2018, the Kremlin recognized that the enterprise has a negative impact on the environment due to emissions. The refinery now processes West Siberian and local oil, and its capacity exceeds 8 million tons per year. The facility produces motor fuel, jet fuel and bitumen. The facility was first attacked by drones in 2024 and has been hit before this year.
