Oil transit to Hungary was halted for four days.
On the night of August 13, 2025, units of missile troops and artillery, the AFU Unmanned Systems Force and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine struck a number of important facilities in Russia. In the Bryansk region, the Unecha oil pumping station involved in supplying the Russian army was hit. The AFU General Staff reported a hit and a large-scale fire in the area of the retaining pumping station building.
This station is also responsible for pumping Russian oil through Ukraine to Hungary. Sources NV Business in the oil and gas market said that oil transit to Hungary was halted for four days after the Ukrainian UAV hit.
Peter Szijjártó, Hungary's foreign minister, sharply criticized Ukraine for the attack. In a Facebook post, he said the distribution station plays a critical role in his country's oil supplies. "Hungary is now the main supplier of electricity to Ukraine, without us Ukraine's energy security would become quite unstable. Especially in this context, another Ukrainian attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline, which supplies oil to Hungary and plays a key role in our country's energy security, is outrageous."
