The ruler had to justify himself.
On August 20, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held negotiations with the ruler of Belarus in Minsk, writes "Salidarnasts".
There was almost no specifics during their communication. Alexander Lukashenko noted:
- Let's face it, we are only confidently moving forward, whereas in the current situation one should run rather than walk. There is a foundation for a large-scale breakthrough.
Another statement of the ruler of Belarus was more interesting:
- We are ready to cooperate with you (on all issues): on issues of food supply to your country and military-technical cooperation. I emphasize once again: there are no secrets here. We are not friends against anyone, we are doing everything for the good of our peoples - the Iranian and Belarusian peoples.
At that moment, Lukashenko seemed to justify himself to US President Donald Trump, with whom he is now trying to build bridges.
It should be recalled that in June, the US, supporting Israel, attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities. In response, Tehran launched a missile attack on the largest U.S. airbase in the Middle East, Al-Udeid in Qatar - it caused no damage or loss of life.
And now the president of the enemy state for the Americans flew to Lukashenko. But the ruler of Belarus behaved more than peacefully: while his colleague was smashing Washington, Lukashenko considered it necessary to declare that he was "not a friend" against the United States.
