Artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool for routine tasks.
AI-based agents are no longer just a tool for routine tasks. If earlier machines were used for scheduling, processing client requests or classifying data, today they are increasingly involved in strategic and management decisions, writes the magazine Forbes (translated by Charter97.org).
Agents are extended versions of generative chatbots like ChatGPT, capable of connecting to external tools, analyzing large data sets and performing complex tasks with minimal human intervention. Platforms with AI agents are engaged in market monitoring. BlackRock has created Asimov, which collects data at night and prepares analytical reports by morning. Citi Group plans to allocate part of its technology budget to integrate such agents into business processes.
In healthcare, agents help monitor the efficiency of infrastructure; in manufacturing, they help control supply chains and energy consumption. Although AI is not yet making decisions on its own, it is already "sitting in the passenger seat," helping managers navigate and alerting them to potential problems.
Experts advise managers to prepare for interaction with agents: organize internal data, ensure compatibility with IT systems, use high-speed and up-to-date information sources, and comply with the principles of safe and ethical use of AI.
Although it is impossible to completely replace humans with AI - the human brain remains unique.
