Yermak And Rubio Discuss Security Guarantees For Ukraine Ahead Of Leaders' Meeting

The countries intend to expand cooperation in the military sphere.

On Saturday, September 20, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They discussed security guarantees for Ukraine on the eve of the meeting of the countries' leaders in New York.

- We discussed the preparation of security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the military, defense and economic spheres," Yermak wrote in Telegram.

The representatives of both countries also noted the importance of the upcoming meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump "as part of the ongoing dialog between the two leaders aimed at achieving a just peace."

-"Thanked the American side for its consistent and constructive support aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine," Yermak added.
