Lukashenko Justifies Himself To The Representative Of The Communist Party Of China For The Border Closed By Poland

Alexander Lukashenko called Poland's closure of the border with Belarus an unfriendly political step against China. He said this on September 22 at the meeting with Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

"There are a lot of insinuations in the media lately, especially in connection with your visit to Belarus, about our relations with Poland and the closure of the border between Belarus and Poland. I realize that this is most likely an unfriendly move by the Poles - a political, some kind of image, probably, as the Poles believe, against the People's Republic of China. But not at all economic. Since an empire like China can easily deal with this problem. But the topic is sound," said Lukashenko.

He explained to Li Xi that "the matter here is not about Belarus" and promised to tell some insights on the subject.

"I would like to talk to you face to face, if you don't mind, after our meeting to tell you something and share our data on this topic. It's not about Belarus. Well, Poland is playing the role of some kind of a horse-racehorse in favor of other states," he added.
