Russian occupation forces launched a combined missile and drone strike on Ukraine on the night of September 7. Strike UAVs entered the territory of Ukraine from different directions, including from Belarus. This was reported on the air of the telethon by the head of the Communications Department of the Air Force of the AFU Yuri Ignat.
Ignat explained that the massive attacks are not the first time, and the enemy carefully calculates the routes. There are known cases when missiles and drones crossed the territory of other countries, in particular Moldova and Romania.
"Yes, and this time there were recorded in the Belarusian direction several "Shaheds", cut their way, so to speak, through the Belarusian territory," he said.
He stressed that the enemy is constantly analyzing data, including from the Ukrainian information space and monitoring telegram channels. That is why we have repeatedly asked their owners to minimize the real-time publication of data on the movement of missiles and the work of air defense. Thanks to this there are already certain results.
"We appealed, we were heard. They approached us and said that let's work out a certain algorithm in order not to harm at least the Defense Forces. The enemy, laying the route of missiles of the next attack, will use, as they say, blind spots where either Shaheds or missiles can be locally lost, and use this when planning the next attacks," he said.
At the same time, citizens are urged to be attentive to such messages, because they can be used to organize new attacks.
