The U.S. Has Sent Planes To Greenland

For a routine exercise.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said its aircraft will soon land at the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland.

The announcement was made by NORAD in X.

The planes will "support various, long-planned NORAD activities," which will also involve fighter jets based in the continental U.S. and Canada.

NORAD assured that these activities have been coordinated with Denmark and that all support forces are operating with the necessary diplomatic authorizations.

The Greenland government has also been informed of the planned activities, it said.
