Peskov Complained About Americans After UAE Talks

The Kremlin prefers to stall for time.

Russian Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov claims that the next round of trilateral talks on Ukraine is scheduled for next week. He said this in an interview with Russian propagandists on Monday, January 26.

He states that there is no exact date for the meeting yet.

Peskov also claims that the negotiation process on Ukraine is "a long way" and there is "a lot of work" ahead. It would be "erroneous" to count on the high efficiency of trilateral contacts, but the very fact of the meetings in Moscow is assessed positively, the Russian dictator's spokesman said.

He also complained that the United States as mediators is "racing against time, in a hurry," and there is "high momentum." At the same time, Peskov repeated the Kremlin's demands regarding the "Anchorage formula" on the territorial issue, without the implementation of which, he claimed, there would be no rapid progress in the talks.

On December 23 and 24, trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia on ending the war were held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) . President Vladimir Zelensky said that the talks were constructive, with the main focus of the discussions being possible parameters for ending the war.
