Colombian President Gustavo Petro said in X that Venezuela was under missile attack. He called for an immediate meeting of the UN Security Council.
- Caracas is under attack right now. Warn the world: Venezuela is under attack! They are firing rockets. The Organization of American States and the UN need to meet immediately," Petro wrote in X.
Later, he added that the UN Security Council should be convened immediately "to establish the international legitimacy of the aggression against Venezuela.
He also added that an operational plan of action has been introduced on the border between Colombia and Venezuela and a rapid response unit has been put on standby.
Reminder, on the night of January 2 to 3, a series of explosions took place in Caracas. The explosions occurred against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's statement, who sent a naval task force to the Caribbean, about the possibility of ground strikes on Venezuela.
