US President Donald Trump specified that Venezuela's ruler Nicolas Maduro has been captured after the United States launched a "massive strike" against the country.

"The United States of America has successfully conducted a massive strike operation against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who along with his wife was captured and airlifted out of the country," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The White House chief said a press conference on the current situation will begin at 7 p.m. (MST) on January 3 in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
