During the attack on Lviv on Thursday, January 8, Russian occupation forces used a ballistic missile. Its type will be established after studying all its elements.

This statement was made in the Air Command "West" of the AFU Air Force. It is noted that infrastructure facilities in Lviv were attacked at 23:47.

"The aerial target was moving at a speed of about 13 thousand kilometers per hour on a ballistic trajectory," the statement said.

The West Command stressed that all forces and means are in constant readiness to repel enemy air strikes.

At 23:47 on January 8, a series of powerful explosions took place in Lviv. It happened during an air alert declared because of the threat of the enemy using ballistics from the Kapustin Yar test site.

There is no official confirmation yet whether the enemy used the Oreshnik missile. It is known that a critical infrastructure facility was attacked, as reported by the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozitsky. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The site of the attack conducted laboratory tests, radiation background - within normal limits. Exceeding the level of harmful substances in the air was also not recorded.
