The Ukrainian Armed Forces Launched 417 Drones Toward Moscow

This is one of the most massive drone attacks in recent memory.

Toward the Moscow region from 8:30 p.m. Minsk time on October 12 until 7:00 a.m. Minsk time on October 13 417 drones belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine were flying toward the Moscow region. This was reported by the mayor of the Russian capital Sergey Sobyanin on his channel in the “Max” messenger app.

According to him, Russian air defense forces neutralized most of the drones at a distance, while another 65 were destroyed as they approached Moscow. This is one of the most massive drone attacks on the Russian capital and its environs in recent times.

Earlier, Russian authorities reported that drones also attacked the Kaluga Region on the night of October 13. According to local authorities, air defense forces destroyed 73 drones there over the territories of 16 municipal districts, as well as on the outskirts of Kaluga and Obninsk.

The figures on the number of drones shot down and the consequences of the attack are based on statements by Russian officials and have not been independently confirmed.
