The Finnish model reached a speed of 87 km/h.

Finnish agricultural machinery manufacturer Valtra sent its T236 tractor to the Red Bull Ring racetrack in Austria, where Formula 1 races are held. The 245-horsepower machine completed a lap in 3 minutes and 36.4 seconds and reached a speed of 87 km/h on the straight, according to Motor1.com.

During the run, the tractor reached a speed of 87 km/h. According to Valtra, the result was independently verified by the Red Bull Racing team. For comparison, the fastest road-legal version of the brand’s tractors is rated for speeds up to 56 km/h.

Under the hood of the T236 is a 7.5-liter, six-cylinder AGCO Power CORE75 diesel engine with 245 l. s. of power and up to 1,184 N·m of torque. This is the most powerful model in the new generation of the T Series; orders have been accepted since October, and the first deliveries are expected by the end of 2026.

“The stopwatch didn’t lie,” notes Motor1.com, describing the agricultural vehicle’s unusual run on a race track.

The record-breaking lap took place under controlled conditions on a closed track. The manufacturer emphasizes that this does not mean the tractor can reach such speeds on public roads.
