Local residents posted a video from the scene.

On October 5, an accident occurred in Minsk at the intersection of Nekrasova and Karastoyanova Streets due to damage to a gas pipeline: residents of nearby buildings complained of a loud rumbling noise. The consequences of the incident were resolved during the night of October 6, according to “Minskgaz”.

A user described the incident Threads under the username irina_arch_drozd, posting a video from the scene. According to her, a fire truck and two gas service emergency crews were at the construction site near the intersection. Smoke was periodically billowing from the rupture site, and workers had moved far away from the area. “The gas workers were running around, but it looks like they’re not getting anywhere,” she wrote.

Minskgaz explained that at approximately 4:40 p.m. at 41 Karastoyanova Street, employees of a third-party organization damaged a medium-pressure steel gas pipeline while performing excavation work. Around 1:00 a.m. on October 6, the company reported that repair work on the gas pipeline had been completed.
