Laminated glass blocks 99.9% of ultraviolet radiation.

Renault has found a way to make the new electric Twingo even more unique. The French company has unveiled the Twingobay panoramic glass roof, shaped like a giant oval resembling an egg, according to Motor1.

The glass area measures 0.7 square meters. It lets more natural light into the small cabin, making the car feel more spacious.

Unlike some older Twingos, which had a sliding fabric roof, the new panoramic panel does not open. Renault claims that the special multilayer glass blocks 99.9% of ultraviolet radiation and most of the infrared radiation.

The Twingobay doesn’t have a separate sunshade. According to Renault, thanks to the glass’s design, it isn’t necessary.

At the same time, this unusual option won’t break the bank. Depending on the country, it will cost between 550 and 600 euros.

“The large glass roof won’t make the Twingo physically larger, but the interior should feel significantly more spacious,” notes Motor1.
