AFU Fighters Eliminate Another Group Of Kenyan Mercenaries Of The Russian Army

They were recruited for the war against Ukraine in Qatar.

Ukrainian fighters at the front eliminated another group of mercenaries from Kenya, whom the command of the occupation forces of the Russian Federation threw into another "meat" assault.

It was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the GUR, in October 2025, a group of Kenyan mercenaries arrived at one of the training camps of the Russian army near Yaroslavl. They signed contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Kenyans underwent a short training (only 1.5 weeks) at the training center. Later, the Kenyans were sent to different parts of the front, for example, to Kharkiv and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.

In January 2026, the GUR said that in Donbass near the town of Liman, Ukrainian fighters found the body of a dead Kenyan mercenary Clinton Nyapar Mogesi in the occupied position of the Russian occupants. Soon the bodies of two more Kenyans Ombwori Denis Bagaku and Wahome Simone Gititu were discovered in the same area.

According to the GUR, they were recruited for Russia's war against Ukraine in Qatar, where they worked for security companies. Now it has become known that three more mercenaries from Kenya, who signed contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry, have died at the front. They participated in the storming of Ukrainian positions in the Borovoy area in Kharkiv region.

According to the information of the GUR, at the moment almost 3,000 people from different African countries have signed contracts with the Russian army. In any case, their personal data have been established. These are citizens of Kenya, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria and other African countries. Several hundred African mercenaries have already died at the front.
