A Devastating Explosion Occurred At A Factory In The Yaroslavl Region Of The Russian Federation

At least 14 people were killed.

In Russia's Yaroslavl Region, in the Pereslavl-Zalessky District, a regional-level state of emergency was declared following an explosion and fire at a pyrotechnics manufacturing plant in the village of Kubrinsk, according to "Dialog" has learned.

According to the latest reports, at least 14 people have died, and several others are still missing. Governor Mikhail Evraev declared September 30 a day of mourning.

The explosion occurred around 4:00 p.m. on the premises of Salyut Yug LLC, a company registered in Mineralnye Vody. According to the regional governor, at least 10 deaths were initially reported; the death toll later rose to 14—a figure confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The search for the remaining victims continues. One of the injured, who sustained leg injuries, was hospitalized.

As a result of the explosion, nine apartment buildings near the factory were damaged, and a power outage occurred in Kubrinsk. Authorities are delivering generators to the town to restore services at public facilities.
