2-year-long preventive observation for Vinagradau

Former prisoner of the Square and one of the leaders of the youth sub-division of the campaign Tell the Truth Paval Vinagradau was tried in the court of Maskouski district of Minsk, Radio Svaboda reports.

Confinement conditions have been altered. The police of the Maskouski district of Minsk demanded preventive observation for Vinagradau for 2 years. Now he is required to be at home from 8 p.m. till 7 a.m. and to leave the city only with the permit from the police.

The police claimed that VInagradau still has contacts with the persons condemned by the court, is unemployed and has been charged for administrative violations.

Several times Paval Vinagradau has been detained for “foul language”. In general, since the beginning of the year 2012 he has spent 25 days in the isolation jail in Akrestsin street.

Judge Tatsiana Matyl who has already tried youth activists presided over the trial.

Previously another prisoner of the Square Uladzimir Yaromenka was condemned to a one-year preventive observation.
