Global Security Forum GLOBSEC in Bratislava

8 annual Global Security Forum will be in the capital of Slovakia from 18 to 20 April.

It is one of the most respected international conferences dedicated to international and security policies, will host the political elite and renowned experts from both sides of the Atlantic once again.

“Having endured the economic crisis, it is time to stop looking at the difficulties the world has faced and start looking at the opportunities ahead. The year 2013 is a time when critical decisions will be made, which determine the transformation of visions into reality. GLOBSEC will be a key platform where these decisions will be shaped,” said Robert Vass, the founder of GLOBSEC and Secretary General of the Slovak Atlantic Commission.

This year’s annual forum, organized by the Slovak Atlantic Commission on the 18th – 20th of April in Bratislava, will be also addressed by Sweden’s Defence Minister Karin Enström and Estonia’s President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.

GLOBSEC 2013 will be different from its previous years, as today, it is a time when the world can finally take a step back and look at the future strategically. Therefore, GLOBSEC 2013 will put spotlight on three key challenges: discussion on the future of the EU and its institutional design, new transatlantic agenda after the US pivot to Asia, closer look at EU the neighbourhood policies after the great changes that have taken place on the doorstep of Europe.

The leader of the civil campaign "European Belarus", the former presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov, charter97.org editor-in-chief Natallia Radzina, and former chief of staff of Andrei Sannikov, Uladzimir Kobets, in particular, will be attended from Belarus at the Forum.
