Belarusian exports to the EU member-states has decreased by 50%.

In January-June 2013 the trade balance has accounted for negative 1.682,3 million USD in Belarus. Within the same period last year the balance was positive - 1.921 million dollars. The data has been published by the National Statistics Committee.

Within the first half-year of 2013 Belarusian exports have decreased by 24% as compared to the same period in 2012 and accounted for 19.212,8 million dollars, BelaPAN reports.

According to the Statistics Committee, in the six months of 2013 the imports have decreased by 10.5% and accounted for 20.895,1 million dollars.

Foreign trade deficit can be observed, in particular, in the trade with the CIS member-states, including the Customs Union countries and Single Economic Space. With this group of trading partners the negative balance accounted for 1.180,7 million dollars and 2.727,6 million respectively.

The exports to the CIS countries have decreased by 0,6% (down to 11.236,9 million dollars) as compared to January 2012, import – by 22,2% (down to 12.417,6 million). As to the Customs Union countries and the Single Economic Space, the goods turnover has decreased with Russia by 14,1% (down to 19.400,9 million dollars), whereas the exports have increased by 5,5% (up to 8.169,8 million dollars).

The trade balance remains positive with Kazakhstan (333,7 million dollars) and the EU countries (824,7 million dollars). Within the same period last year the positive trade balance with the EU accounted for 7.373,1 million dollars. At the same time the trade turnover has decreased with Kazakhstan by 11,1% (down to 421,7), exports and imports have also decreased - by 8,5 and 28,5% respectively.

The trade turnover has decreased with the EU by 30,6% (down to 10.742,3 million dollars). The exports have decreased by 49,4% (5.783,5 million), the imports have increased by 22,2% (up to 4.958,8 million dollars).
