Poroshenko and Putin agree on ceasefire in Donbas

The outcome of a phone conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation was an agreement of a ceasefire in Donbas.

That is what charter97.org learnt from the press-service of the head of the Ukrainian state.

“The outcome of the conversation was an agreement on a permanent ceasefire in Donbas. Mutual agreement was reached as to the steps, which would contribute to peace”, - they pointed out.

Earlier the press-secretary to the head of the Russian state Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov claimed that in a phone conversation with Ukraine’s president Petro Poroshenko his boss discussed “top-priority steps as to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine’s east”.

He claims that their viewpoints as to the possible ways out of the crisis largely coincide.
