The activity of the Russian army in the East of Ukraine has intensified lately.

National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Secretary, Oleksandr Turchynov stated, Censor.NET reports citing the NSDC press service.

According to him, engineers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have constructed five pontoon ferries across the Siverskyi Donets River in sections that coincide with the state border between Ukraine and Russia, "as well as equipped access routes to these ferries."

"That is the way the military infrastructure with the purpose of providing delivery of additional units of the Russian troops to the occupied territory of Ukraine for their further operational use is formed," the NSDC secretary said, noting that this was another evidence of direct and immediate participation of the Russian army in the war unleashed by the Kremlin in the east of Ukraine.
