Belarus's exports of services drop by 15%, imports – by 30%

The National Statistical Committee reports about a reduction in exports and imports of services.

Exports of services for the period from January to July 2015 were 3.8041 billion dollars (balance of payment methodology) and decreased by 14.7% compared to the period from January to July 2014. Imports fell by 28.6% to 2.4092 billion dollars, the National Statistical Committee reports.

The balance was positive – 1.3949 billion dollars (1.0867 billion dollars in January-July 2014).

Exports of services to CIS counties was 32.9% of the total volume of exports of services. Imports from CIS countries was 32.9% of the total volume.

The National Statistical Committee notes that transportation and construction services had a decisive influence on the trade in services. The balance of foreign trade in transportation services in January-July 2015 was positive – 943.7 million dollars (1.3089 billion dollars in January-July 2014). The balance of foreign trade in construction services in January-July 2015 was positive – 75.3 million dollars against a negative balance of 335.1 million dollars in January-July 2014.
