Once a township-forming enterprise, Rytm Joint stock company does not work anymore.

In 1980 the plant of Rytm joint stock company was manufacturing electronics for the military. In the middle of the 2000-ies the shares of the enterprises were bought out by an Iranian businessman Ramin Mansurian. And now the plant stands idle, praca-by.info writes.

– On the territory of the plant the Iranian investor modernized a production facility and planned to produce copper wire, but the workshop is mothballed now. They also tried to build an aluminum workshop, it was started, but not finished. We do not know why things didn’t get rolling, everything is wrapped in obscurity – the workers told.

– Even a year ago there were about 40 workers at the enterprise. But since spring they stopped paying wages, and people started to quit. The CEO was among the last to resign, on December 9. Only one secretary was working in the administration office, but a few days ago her contract expired. Only guards are left, they do not need money, they are working to get an employment and service term record. Maybe there are a few workers more somewhere. The plan is simply standing idle. Machine tools are covered with dust. No one cares about anything. There is no water, electricity at the plant – nothing. The local authorities do not say anything about the situation at the plant, they have shut up like an oyster. Workers have forwarded letters to many institutions, one of the last letters was sent to Lukashenka, but it caused no reaction so far. The labour inspection officials are shrugging their shoulders, – the former workers of the plant said.

– I quitted in October 2015. The wages indebtedness to me was about Br18 million, since April. We were going to work, and we were promised wages: later, later, later. They said their accounts were arrested. Some workers filed lawsuits over non-payment of wages, some people went to the prosecutor. But no one has received money back yet. The prosecutor told that the Iranian investor to return on February 11 and to pay off. And time will tell what will happen in reality, – the former worker of Rytm plant said.
