Grettha Sabaleuskaya Held In Police Department Without Sleep For 3 Days

The BNC activist was placed in the conditions comparable to tortures.

Leader of the Belarusian National Congress Mikalai Statkevich wrote about this on his Facebook page:

— Activist of the Belarusian National Congress Grettha Sabaleuskaya has been released after the three days in the Uzda police department. During this period of time she had neither food nor sleep, and was held in terrible conditions. The police misinformed her relatives that Grettha was in the police department of Dziarzhynsk. However, our colleagues who went to Dziarzhynsk to support the girl, found out that the police lied, as always.

Grettha was detained on Friday due to her intention to take part in the “Memory Chain” to honour the victims of the Stalin repression near the building of the KGB. She is going to continue fighting for freedom.

Important to note, many activists of the Belarusian National Congress and the “European Belarus” civil campaign were detained on October 28.
