"Parasite" Against Authorities Proceeding To Be Resumed In Homel On February 21

Aliaksandr Siamionau is proving in court the illegality of the tax "on parasitism", its contradiction to the Constitution.

The "parasite" against the state" proceeding will be resumed in Homel on February 21, at 15.00. This is the first lawsuit of such a kind in Belarus. 53-year-old Aliaksandr Siamionau wants his participation in the financing of public expenditure to be recognized. He is going to prove the illegality of the tax "on parasitism", its contradiction to the Constitution, Euroradio reports.

On Tuesday, the Tsentralny District Court of the regional center heard the parties' positions, the procedural request were submitted. Today, dozens of people have failed to get to the sitting, as there was not enough space. A larger hall has been promised for the next session.

We remind that on February 17, at 18-00, the March of disgruntled Belarusians to demand the abolition of the decree on "parasites" will begin on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.
