In January 2017 Brest Regional Executive Committee approved new tariffs on some subsidized tariffs for housing services. A journalist decided to compare a January utility bill with the one of December, 2016, to see how much it has risen compared to the last year's one.

UTILITY BILL. DECEMBER 2016

So, a one-bedroom apartment with total area of 49.6 square meters, wherein two people are registered, there is an elevator in the building. Figures that could have change, remained the same: the amount of hot water, heating, and solid waste. But the amount to be paid has increased by 4.67 rubles (from 32.23 rubles to 36.9 rubles). It happened due to the increase in tariffs for heating, hot water, for maintenance of the building and the elevator, and due to the increase in tariffs for electricity used by equipment and elevators, for illumination of auxiliary rooms.

UTILITY BILL FOR JANUARY 2017 HAS INCREASED BY 4.67 RUBLES

The last expense item is a little confusing because the information specified in the bill states that the area of auxiliary rooms in the building is equal to 0 (zero).

THE BILL INDICATES THAT THE AREA OF AUXILIARY ROOMS IS 0 (ZERO) SQUARE METERS

Figures of the general energy consumption by the building are also a bit surprising. Thus, in December 2016, 551 kW / h were used to illuminate auxiliary rooms and to enable work of equipment and 790 kW / h were used by the elevator. In January 2017 these figures increased to 750 kW / h, and 1150 kW / h respectively. I wonder why? The number of people in the building has not increased, the weather conditions were the same.

IN JANUARY, TOTAL CONSUMPTION OF THE ELECTRICITY IN THE BUILDING HAS INCREASED FOR SOME REASON

At the same time, the amount paid by the population for housing and utility bills remains the same since last September. Some amazing stability. We are waiting for new utility bills.
