Belarusian Railways’ Profits Decreased By More Than Three Times

At the same time, the debts of Belarusian Railways were 120 times as high as the net profit in 2016.

The State Association "Belarusian Railways" showed revenue of 357.28 million rubles in 2016.

It decreased by 1.2% compared to 2015. Such information is contained in the annual report published on the Single portal of the financial market, belmarket.by reports.

The cost of sales for the same period increased by 10.3% up to 213.32 million rubles. The railway eventually recorded a sales profit of 143.96 million rubles, which is 14.41% less than in 2015.

The association’s net profit decreased by 68.05% up to 6.27 million rubles. Taking into account the revaluation of long-term assets that are not included in the net profit, the aggregate profit of the railway amounted to 9.1 million rubles

As of December 31, 2016, long-term loans and borrowings of the Belarusian Railways amounted to 806.8 million rubles, obligations on leasing payments – 244.28 million rubles.
